Happy Friday Memphis! I have your weekend plan, but first: you’re invited to party with me on 901 Day! I’m partnering with some amazing local organization to throw down for Memphis in a huge way at AutoZone Park on September 1. It’s free! I have lots of details in this post, but stay tuned for even more in the coming weeks.
And now, here are the five things you won’t want to miss in Memphis this weekend.
1. Elvis Week, Graceland, All Weekend, Prices Vary, All Ages
Elvis Week in Memphis continues through the weekend with a “Sound and Soul of Memphis” concert on Friday at 7 p.m., a fan reunion on Saturday at 1 p.m., the ETA Contest finals at the Orpheum on Saturday, Elvis’ gospel music on Sunday, and of course, the Candlelight Vigil on Monday night. Check out the full Elvis Week Guide here.
2. On Location: Memphis International Film & Music Festival, Studio on the Square and Art Village Gallery, all weekend, $30-$150
The 17th annual film festival celebrates independent films with screenings, live music, and parties. Festival passes are $30, $45 for a t-shirt too, or $150 for a VIP pass.
