Huey’s is on track to bring its blues, brews and burgers to Millington this spring.
The future Millington restaurant, located at 8570 U.S.Highway 51, will mark the ninth Huey’s.
“We are on target,” said Hollis Ranson, general manager for Huey’s Millington. "We are going to open up on April 24. Walls are going up; patio is being built — that is the biggest obstacle — but if the rain holds off, we will be set to go.”
Ranson has been with Huey’s for eight-and-a-half years and previously served as the GM of the Huey’s Southaven and Collierville locations. He also worked briefly at the Midtown location.
The Millington Huey's expects to hire a staff of 60 to 65 people. Ranson said they've already hired about 80 percent of the staff, which includes front of the house and kitchen employees.
Interested applicants can apply online or stop by the construction trailer located behind the Millington Huey’s for open interviews. Open interviews will be held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. until the positions are filled.
Once finished, the restaurant will measure in at a little more than 4,100 square feet and include a more than 900-square-foot patio. The total seating capacity will be 201. Traditional Construction Co. Inc. is the general contractor.
“Huey’s is excited to be expanding,” Ranson said. “We are really proud to be part of the Millington community and expect a good partnership with our neighbors.”
