Pilgrim’s collaboration is with Cook Systems, a company with nearly 30 years of tech talent recruitment and training experience and a client roster that includes FedEx, St. Jude’s and, locally, Video Gaming Technologies. Pilgrim’s Berry Farms offices will host at no cost Cook’s nine-week FastTrack’D class that trains software developers.
Candidates will be vetted prior to admission and then contracted through Cook Systems for placement. Pilgrim officials are looking to bring in up to 16 people every cohort and are hoping to organize one session per quarter in 2019. Pilgrim and Cook are jointly funding the effort.
“Our goal is to provide Nashville with a new solution to the challenge of finding developer talent by actually helping create it,” said Mark McGarrity, CEO of Pilgrim Consulting.
The first classes will begin this Friday.
