These award-winning "Modern Hieroglyphs" are a great place to take several similar photos for a cohesive Instagram gallery. 

Located at the end strip of South Main Street, there are 25 symbols to choose from, including computer, math and musical symbols. 

The paintings begin at 645 South Main and continue until 545. Metered-street parking is available.

Painted on the Adult and Teen Challenge Memphis building, this large mural is a colorful and inspiring backdrop. 

The artwork is on Cleveland between Court and Madison, across from the Viet Hoa Market. To take photos here, park on the street directly across from the mural. 

8. Marshall Arts

The four murals in the Edge District are the perfect size for solo shots, with contrasting colors in each painting.

A breezy seating area is just across the street; check out these murals while exploring the Edge District, which has a restaurant, coffee shop and other retailers.

The paintings are located at 639 Marshall Ave. with free street parking available.

Explore Crosstown Concourse, 1350 Concourse Ave., to find the best spots for Instagram shots with artwork in almost every part of the massive building.

Particularly striking is the red staircase at the entrance of the East Atrium, accented by neon lighting.
