Blockchain Infrastructure Designed to Help Cancer Patients

The Memphis-based Good Shepherd Pharmacy recognizes the opportunity provided by designing a blockchain infrastructure to retrieve unused medication from cancer patients and then offer them to patients who find themselves economically challenged and otherwise unable to afford such treatments.

FedEx Institute is scheduled to host an event called “hacknight” with Blockchain 901 on July 10 at the Fishbowl which will discuss expanding Memphis’ technology workforce, while also providing blockchain professionals and enthusiasts with an opportunity to connect and discuss ideas.

Blockchain’s effect on the pharmaceutical industry cannot be understated, and this latest partnership can only mean good things for people living with cancer all over the country.
