Where to find Thanksgiving meals, whether you want to dine in or out

Want to let someone else do the cooking this year? Here’s a look at places that will provide full meals or parts of meals to make your Thanksgiving easier.

If you’re looking for the simplest solution of all, look at the list of places that will be open to serve you.  

Open on Thanksgiving

Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar, 39 South Main St., will have a four-course Thanksgiving Holiday meal for $49 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meal consists of the chef'd appetizer choice of beef wellingtons or Chesapeake crab cake, choice of harvest salad or lobster bisque, Joyce Farms free-range turkey, brioche stuffing, southern gravy, cranberry sauce and sweet potato casserole. For dessert, customers will have the choice of bananas foster bread pudding or the Memphis Belle pie. The full dinner menu will also be available. Call 901-521-8005 for reservations. 

Bleu Restaurant & Lounge, 221 South B.B. King Blvd., will have a family-style meal for Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults, $50; children 6 to 12, $20. Call 901-334-5950 for reservations. 

Bounty on Broad, 2519 Broad, will be serving from its  Thanksgiving menu from noon to 8 p.m. The menu includes sweet-tea-brined house smoked turkey ($17.95), pork shank ($29.50), oven-roasted prime rib ($29.95), flounder ($28.50) and all your favorite sides. Part of the proceeds will go to the domestic abuse victims at Family Safety Center. Call 901-410-8131 for reservations. 

The Capital Grille, 6065 Poplar Ave., will be serving a composed plate of roasted turkey, brioche stuffing, French green beans with almonds, cranberry-pear chutney and house-made gravy with mashed potatoes. The plate will be $43 for adults and $15 for children. Pumpkin cheesecake will cost $10. An a la carte menu will also be available. Capriccio Grill, 149 Union Ave. in The Peabody, is offering a three-course Thanksgiving meal with all the classics, served from noon-10 p.m.; $52 for adults, $24 for children. Call 901-529-4000 for reservations.

Chez Philippe, 149 Union Ave. in The Peabody, will have a four-course Thanksgiving dinner, served from 3-8 p.m. It's $98 per person and an additional $48 per person for wine pairings. Call 901-529-4000 for reservations.

The Cupboard Restaurant, 1400 Union, will serve lunch on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Choices include turkey with dressing and baked ham. Call 901-276-8015. 

Doubletree Hotel in East Memphis, 5069 Sanderlin, will be open for lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with Thanksgiving favorites, salads, a hot buffet and desserts. Adults pay $33.99; children 6 to 12, $15.99; and children 6 and younger eat free. Mimosas and bloody Marys are $5. Call 901-767-6666.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, 6245 Poplar, will have a Thanksgiving dinner for $52, which includes a choice of salad or lobster bisque, roasted turkey or steak ($15 extra for steak) served with house-made stuffing, green beans and onions, mashed potatoes and a choice of pumpkin cheesecake or chocolate butter cake. The children’s dinner plate is $22. The restaurant will be open for brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner 4-9 p.m. Reservations are encouraged; call 901-761-6200.

Frank Grisanti’s, 1022 Shady Grove S., will have a three-course Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for $28. The restaurant will open again at 5 p.m. with its regular dinner menu. Call 901-761-9462 for reservations.

Gibson’s Donuts, 760 Mt. Moriah, will be open until noon. Call 901-682-8200.

Guest House at Graceland, 3600 Elvis Presley Blvd., will have a Thanksgiving four-station buffet: Salads, seasonal offerings, meat carving and dessert. The buffet is $38.95 for adults and $14.95 for children 5-12 years old. There are two seatings: noon and 3 p.m., and the noon seating is booked; Call 901-443-3000 for 3 p.m. reservations. 

Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis, 3700 Central, will have two seatings for its annual Thanksgiving Champagne brunch, at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Adults pay $45.99, seniors 60+ $43.99, children 6 to 12 $25.99 and children 5 and younger eat free. Parties of over 30 people must pre-pay. Reservations are required; call 901-678-5410.

Horseshoe Tunica Hotel and Casino, 1021 Casino Center Dr., Robinsonville, Mississippi, has a Thanksgiving buffet at Village Square Buffet for $28.99 from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Call 662-357-5500 for reservations.

Neil’s, 5727 Quince Road, will be open from 9 a.m.-3 a.m. with a Thanksgiving buffet for $15.95. It includes turkey, cornbread dressing with giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, choice of two sides and pumpkin pie. Sides include green beans, corn, English peas, mashed potatoes and yams. Call 901-682-2300. 

The Peabody Thanksgiving Brunch, 149 Union Ave., will be served on the Mezzanine overlooking the Grand Lobby. The buffet will include hot and cold items, breakfast dishes, seasonal entrées, salads, seafood, side dishes, a carving station and a 32-foot-long dessert table. The brunch will be from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. $78 for adults and $28 for children 5-12. Call 901-529-4000 for reservations.

Piccadilly Cafeteria, all locations, open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, except the "to-go" locations: 775 Germantown Parkway Suite 102 and 5155 Goodman Rd Suite 115. Turkey and ham will be on the menu. 

River Inn, 50 Harbor Town Square, has three restaurants to choose from – Paulette’s, Terrace and Tug’s.

  • Paulette’s three-course meal will be available from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. for $52.95 to $65.95 and $19.95 for children 12 and younger.

  • Terrace will be open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and offer meals for $53 to $65 and $19.95 for children 12 and younger.

  • Tug’s will be open for breakfast 8 a.m.-11 p.m.; $9.99 to $18.95, depending on choices. There will be a three-course meal for lunch and dinner 11 p.m.-8 p.m. for $23.95 to $32.95. Children can have a regular meal for $4.95 or the turkey dinner for $12.95.

Ruth’s Chris, 6120 Poplar Ave., will have a three-course Thanksgiving meal for $41.95 per person as well as an a la carte menu. The restaurant will be open from 11:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Call 901-761-0055.  

Seasons 52, 6085 Poplar, will have a traditional Thanksgiving menu available. Adults, $29.95; children, $14.95. The restaurant will have the regular lunch and dinner menus available as well. It will be open during normal hours, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Call 901-682-9952.

Thanksgiving to-go

17 Berkshire, 2094 Trimble Place, is offering cakes, pies, 8-inch tarts, macarons and pastries for Thanksgiving. Orders are due by Nov. 22. Pick-up by Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Pick-up times can be accommodated. Call 901-729-7916 to place orders.

Alrahmah Bakery and Meat Market, North Houston Levee Road, offers 16- to 24-pound uncooked and cooked halal turkeys. Cooked turkey comes with rice for $75. Orders due by Nov. 25. Pick-up by Thanksgiving Day at 5 p.m. Call 901-417-6222.

Amerigo, 1239 Ridgeway Road, is offering family-style sides and desserts to pre-order and pick up during the week of Thanksgiving. Orders are due by Nov. 25, and pick up is by 5 p.m. Nov. 27. Call 901-848-4409. 

Bar-B-Q Shop, 1782 Madison Ave., has 12- to 14-pound smoked turkeys available for order at $45.95 until 5 p.m. Nov. 22. Pick-up by Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. Call 901-272-1277.

Bounty on Broad, 2519 Broad, is offering a la carte menu items until Thanksgiving Day. This includes sweet potato casserole ($30 for half pan), hash brown casserole ($30 for half pan), cornbread dressing ($25 for half pan), gravy ($10 per quart), cranberry dressing ($10 per quart), green bean casserole ($30 for half pan) and a 9-pound average sweet-tea-brined smoked turkey breast ($95). Orders need to be received 5 days in advance from pick-up. Pick-up any time now through Thanksgiving Day. Call 901-504-4229 to order. 

Central BBQ will have 10- to 12-pound smoked turkeys for $49.95 available at 4375 Summer, 901-767-4672; 2249 Central, 901-272-9377; and 147 E. Butler, 901-672-7760. Orders due by Nov. 22. Pick-up by Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. 

CHAR, 431 S. Highland St., is offering side items like cornbread dressing and chipotle sweet potato mash for $3 per person, and a whole pecan pie for $30. Orders are due by Nov. 25. Pick-up by Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. Call 901-498-9121. 

Chef Tam’s Underground Café, 2299 Young Ave., is offering rum brown sugar glazed ham ($65), orange pineapple ham ($65), Cajun spiced smoked turkey ($50) and jerk smoked turkey ($50). A la carte pans that feed 20 people include dressing ($40), muddy mac and cheese ($55), baked five-cheese mac ($45), greens ($35) and candied yams ($30). Desserts range from $25 to $50 and pies from $25 to $45. All orders must be prepaid and picked up Nov. 27 by 3 p.m. Call 901-207-6182.

Corky’s BBQ has two feasts: whole turkey for $79.99 and spiral ham for $89.99. Both feasts come with a choice of two sides and one pint of gravy. Sides include cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, baked potato casserole and mac and cheese. Order deadline is Nov. 26. Pick up orders on Nov. 26-27. Order and pick-up at all locations. 

The Cupboard Restaurant, 1400 Union Ave., is offering 10- to 12-pound oven roasted turkeys with a gallon of gravy for $49.99, sides for $16.99 (half) and $25.99 (full), an eight-pound honey baked ham for $49.99 and pies for $15.99. Pies include sweet potato, pecan, lemon ice-box, sugar-free apple, French silk and coconut meringue. Pick up is by Nov. 25. Call 901-276-8015.

Curb Side Casseroles, 5130 Wheelis Drive, is offering appetizers ranging from $9 to $22, house-smoked whole boneless turkey for $9.95 per pound and sides like homemade onion gravy and cheesy mac. They will also have “breakfast, breads and sweet treats” available to order. Orders are due by noon Nov. 18. Pick-up is available Nov. 23 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Nov. 25 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Nov. 26 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or Nov. 27 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 901-761-0287.

Frost Bake Shop, 394 S. Grove Park Road and 1016 W. Poplar Ave. #107, has all things pumpkin for the holiday. They have pumpkin cakes, mini and whole cheesecakes, mini and large cupcakes, pies and gooey cookies. All orders must be prepaid and picked up by Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Frozen desserts need to be ordered three hours in advance. Call 901-682-4545. 

The Germantown Commissary, 2290 S. Germantown Road, and Collierville Commissary, 3573 S. Houston Levee Road, are offering whole turkeys in small and larger sizes. The small is 10- to 12-pounds at $49.95 and includes one quart of dressing and gravy. The large is 14- to 16-pounds at $72.95 and includes two quarts of dressing and gravy. The honey-smoked spiral ham, eight- to 10-pounds, is $54.95; no sides included. Also available are a pint of gravy ($4.75), a quart of dressing ($7.75) and a quart of sweet potato casserole ($9.95). Gus’s Fried Chicken is selling 10- to 12-pound turkeys for $63.91, payable in full or with a $25 deposit at time of order. Orders are due by Nov. 17 and only 400 turkeys are available. Pick-up by Nov. 27. You can order by calling the Collierville location at 901-853-6005, Southaven location at 662-349-2200, or Downtown at 901-527-4877. Pick-up is only at 310 S. Front St. location. Also available are 5 different pies for $15 each. 

Hog Wild Catering offers smoked spiral sliced ham ($55), deep-fried whole turkey ($60), smoked whole turkey ($55) and smoked turkey breast ($14 per pound). Side dishes are $25 each and serve about eight guests. Desserts range from $24 to $32. Orders are due by Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. Pick up is by Nov. 26 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1291 Tully Street, and Nov. 27 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Woodland Presbyterian Church, 5217 Park Ave. Call 901-522-9453.

Kitchen manager Terry Grant at Huey’s Midtown, 1927 Madison Ave, is offering two 12-pound turkey options: roasted and fried. Both come with two quarts of dressing and one quart of giblet gravy. Pies include pecan ($12), old-fashioned sweet potato ($10), peach and apple cobbler ($15). Mashed potato, sweet potato, broccoli and green bean casserole are available for $15. Julles Posh Food, 6300 Poplar Ave Suite #110, is offering dinner packages for six people at $159 and for 12 people at $299. Packages include salad, the choice of two entrees — herb-basted turkey roulades with white wine turkey gravy or sage-roasted chicken breast with shallot butter cranberry port jus — and sides. A la carte items range from $15 to $99. Orders are due by Nov. 22 and pick up by 1 p.m. on Nov. 26.  Call 901-509-8675.

Katie’s Kitchen, 9056 Poplar Pike #109, is offering a Thanksgiving menu that includes pan dishes like cornbread dressing and mac and cheese, sides like cheese straws and turnip greens and desserts. The restaurant also has a “Black Friday Brunch.” Orders are due by Nov. 23 with pick up Nov. 25-27. All orders must be prepaid. Call 901-754-8444.

One & Only BBQ sells 14-pound smoked whole turkey for $44.99 cold and $49.99 hot, and 7-pound spiral smoked whole ham for $44.99 hot or cold. Sides include Dutch-crust sweet potato casserole ($21.99 for 15 to 20 people), cornbread stuffing ($19.99 for 15 to 20 people), giblet gravy ($5.99 per quart), mac and cheese ($10.50 per quart), green beans ($7.99 per quart) and twice-baked potato salad ($12.50 per quart). Order now until Thanksgiving morning. The 567 Perkins Extd. location will only be open for pick-up from 9 a.m.-4 p.m on Thanksgiving Day. The dinner serves four to six people. Orders are due by Nov. 21. Pick up will be in the valet area on Nov. 27 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Call 901-529-4000.

Piccadilly Cafeteria has five holiday packages. The Turkey Feast includes a 10- to 12-pound turkey – whole or sliced – cornbread dressing (two quarts), turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and rolls for $69.99. The Ham Feast includes a 10- to 14-pound ham – whole or sliced – and two sides (1 quart each) for $69.99. The Junior Turkey Fest includes turkey with cornbread dressing (one quart), turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and rolls. The Junior Ham Feast includes sliced ham with rolls and a choice of one side (one quart). The Trimmings Pack includes a choice of three sides (one quart each) and a gallon of iced tea. Order online any time before Thanksgiving Day and pick by noon that day. 

The Pie Folks, 1028 N. Germantown Parkway, have 27 flavors of pies. Orders are due by Nov. 23; pick-up by Nov. 27. Call 901-752-5454 to order.

Prima’s Bakery and Boutique, 523 S. Main St, has a dessert pre-order menu available till the end of November. The menu includes macarons (a dozen for $24), autumn wreath cake ($18 to $30), cookie cake ($32 to $56), fall donuts (a dozen for $30), pecan pie tart ($24 to $36) and “Buttercream Butterballs” (a dozen for $36). Memphis Barbecue Company, 709 Desoto Cove, Horn Lake, Mississippi. Packages include smoked sliced turkey breast and double-smoked glazed ham with green beans, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, turkey gravy, cranberry relish and yeast rolls. Turkeys are $44.99; spiral sliced hams $54.99; several sides such as green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, dressing and mashed potatoes are available in three sizes and prices range $22-$75 depending on size.
