You can now sip a cocktail under the stars atop The Memphian hotel. Tiger and Peacock, Overton Square’s only rooftop bar, opened Aug. 13.
Just as with the rest of this new boutique hotel, every attention to detail was attended to in the design of this hip bar-lounge that seats 120 guests.
Drawing from the glamour of the early 20th century and the eclectic style of Midtown Memphis, Tiger and Peacock is sophisticated, yet fun and whimsical.
The small dining menu is a collection of globally-inspired shared snacks and small plates from the hotel’s chef, Dan Latham. Dishes like Caramelized Onion and Chive Dip with Ruffles and Grilled Steak and Peach Flatbread are perfect for sharing. If looking for something heartier, consider the Patty Melt with Chili Mayo or the KimChi Grilled Cheese made with pimento cheese.
The creative craft cocktail list includes cocktail recommendations based on astrological signs. A Basil Strawberry Vodka Smash might be a favorite for an Aries, while Spicy Bourbon Sidecar is suggested for a Scorpio. A carefully curated wine by the glass selection is also available.
