Previewing the Vintage901 Festival

On Tuesday I had the opportunity to attend the Vintage901 Preview Party. Vintage901 is a three-day wine, food and music festival in Memphis.

This year is the first Vintage901 weekend event and it will be held on March 10th-12th. Vintage901 was organized by Stephanie Ferreira and sommelier Laurie Forster. Stephanie is extremely passionate about building community and purpose while incorporating culture through this event.

I had the opportunity to meet Stephanie at the Preview Party and she is a true gem. She has a warm presence that makes everyone feel like they’re a part of her family. I think she is the perfect person to plan and host a festival like this. If community is her goal then she is already living that out through the way she treats those around her.

The preview event was held at Cafe 1912. It was my first time to visit this cute and quaint restaurant in Midtown. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing with the most elegant and simple floral arrangements on each table. There was an amazing assortment of tapas by Cafe 1912, Peabody Point Cafe and Tart. There were incredible acoustic tunes by Stax’s Stephen Lee and wines from West Tennessee Crown.

Everything was lovely and well organized. I loved the atmosphere and the diversity of the group of people who attended the Preview Party. The wine and food was delicious. If the festival is anything like the Preview Party, I promise you will not be disappointed. I was so encouraged by the creativity and investment of so many amazing people and talents throughout our city.
