Guide to 4th of July Events in Memphis 2017

Throughout the city, there are plenty of places to watch fireworks, listen to music, chow down on food, and more. Scroll down this list for places and events coming up you need to look out for.

Independence Celebration at Overton Square: July 2nd – 7pm to 9pm

  • Join Overton Square for a family-friendly Independence Celebration concert in the Tower Courtyard on Sunday, July 2.
  • Enjoy the rockin’ sounds of the Jackson Regiment from Mississippi’s 41st Army Band as they tell the Army story through their toe-tapping, upbeat music. The Fire Museum of Memphis joins the party with fun vintage fire trucks, and will be on hand to teach our youngest visitors more important summer fire safety tips.
  • A selection of local beers and seasonal refreshments will be available for purchase. Folding chairs and blankets are welcome; no coolers or outside alcoholic beverages, please. This concert is free and open to the public.
  • The Independence Celebration is proud to welcome Alpha Omega Veterans Services, Inc., helping Memphis’ homeless and disabled military veterans through support services.
