11 arrested in Tennessee human trafficking operation, TBI says

JACKSON, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) agents said 11 men have been arrested in a human trafficking operation in Tennessee last week.

Investigators said the undercover operation started on Aug. 26 and focused on addressing human trafficking in West Tennessee. Authorities placed several decoy advertisements on websites known to be linked to prostitution and commercial sex cases.

TBI says the operation also had the support of Restore Corps and Scarlet Rope Project, which work to provide services to survivors of human trafficking.

Other agencies involved in the operation include the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations and the Office of 26th District Attorney General Jody Pickens.
