Spring is fast approaching, and we couldn’t be more excited! From fundraisers and food truck parties to grand openings and galas, March is packed with fabulous local events, and we’re ready to start celebrating everything Memphis has to offer! Get your planners out because we’ve rounded up 19 events to check out. Let’s get the March madness started!
Snapshot: Millington Gets Memphis Original
Construction is underway on the Memphis area’s ninth Huey’s Restaurant, which is scheduled to open soon at 8570 U.S. 51 in Millington. A $1 million building permit application for the project was filed in late 2016. Hollis Ranson, a former general manager at the Huey’s locations in Southaven and Collierville, will be the general manager at Huey’s Millington, according to the company’s website. Roughly 60 people will be hired to staff the restaurant. Huey’s was founded in Memphis in 1970.

Eat and sip your heart out at this three-day festival March 10 – 12, 2017. Enjoy great wine, food and music, all benefiting the Women’s Foundation. Hosted by Laurie Foster, wine coach seen on Dr. Oz, Martha Stewart and other shows, this brand new festival is sure to become an annual event. Man, sometimes things just break right for a guy. It was one of those beautiful winter days masquerading as spring when I dropped in on Brian Herrera over at Kirby Wines and Liquors. I'd meant to pester him about something else entirely when I stumbled into a small tasting of the flagship label and three new wines from The Prisoner Wine Co. of Northern California. Then I promptly forgot what it was I'd meant to ask him.
